Yo Gotti Says He’s Out Of Epic Records Contract & Owns All His Masters

Less than a week after dropping his Untrapped album, Yo Gotti has declared he’s out his contract with Epic Records. On Tuesday (February 4), the Memphis-born rapper revealed not only is he out his contract but also claimed he owns all his masters.

“Drop My Album, Out My Deal, Own My MASTERS,” he captioned a photo himself. “ALL IN DA 1st Month da Year 2020 GONE BE DIFFERENT #UnTrapped FORRREAL.”

When a fan questioned why Apple Music says Untrapped was released under Inevitable II Records, ” Gotti quickly replied, “cause DATS Me do ya research!”

Epic Records has yet to respond to repeated requests for comment.

Untrapped arrived last Friday (January 31) and features Ty Dolla $ign, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert and Megan Thee Stallion, among others. More recently, Gotti shared a clip teasing his forthcoming Ctrl Live session.
