THE SMILE

Radiohead offshoot The Smile are gearing up to release their second album and have announced a few 2024 summer festival dates in the EU, including Oslo’s Oya and Paris’ Rock En Seine. They also have festival dates in Denmark, Greece and Finland. All dates are here.

CRUEL WORLD 2024

Cruel World festival has announced its 2024 edition, which happens May 11 at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. It includes Ministry playing songs from their first two album, With Sympathy and Twitch, Gary Numan playing The Pleasure Principle in full, Bauhaus offshoot Tones on Tail (Daniel Ash & Kevin Haskins, plus Haskins’ daughter, Diva Dompe, on bass), English Beat offshoot General Public, plus headliners Duran Duran, as well as Interpol, Blondie, Simple Minds, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and more.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

Red Hot Chili Peppers are extending their Unlimited Love Tour into 2024 with North American dates this spring and summer. Openers this time around include Kid Cudi, their old Lollapalooza ’92 tourmates Ice Cube, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Wand, Otoboke Beaver, Ken Carson, and IRONTOM (led by Zach Irons, son of original RHCP drummer Jack Irons), depending on the date.

LAUFEY

Icelandic-Chinese singer laufey has announced Bewitched: The Goddess Tour, which hits North America this spring, kicking off April 8 in Vancouver and then making its way east. The tour includes a big NYC show at Radio City Music Hall on May 3. Tickets for all dates of the tour go on sale Friday, December 8 at 10 AM local time.

DON OMAR

Veteran Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter Don Omar has announced the Back to Reggaeton Tour, which begins March 7 in Reading PA and includes NYC-area shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on March 9 and Newark’s Prudential Center on March 10.

U2

U2 have added four more — they say the last — shows at Las Vegas’ high-tech Sphere.

LDB FEST 2024

Louisville, KY hardcore festival LDB Fest returns March 22 & 23 to Triple Crown Pavilion, and this year it’s being co-presented by Triple B Records. (The flyer calls it LD BBB Fest.) The lineup is stacked as ever.

SONIC TEMPLE 2024

Columbus, OH hard rock and heavy metal festival Sonic Temple returns on May 16-19 at Historic Crew Stadium for its 2024 edition. The Danny Wimmer Presents fest is getting a fourth stage next year for the first time, and 40 more bands than in years previous, for 120 bands total. The lineup includes Misfits, L7, Pantera, Gel, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Slayer’s Kerry King, and more.

LADIES’ NIGHT RNB SUPER JAM AT BARCLAYS (JODECI, FAITH EVANS, MORE)

Jodeci will headline the Ladies’ Night RnB Super Jam on February 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn along with Faith Evans, Robin Thicke, Brian McKnight, Kenny Lattimore, Silk, and The Lox. Jodeci also have a couple other early 2024 shows.

ILANA GLAZER

Ilana Glazer has announced a 2024 stand-up tour that will have her out through the winter and spring in North America. Her shows begin in Kingston, NY on January 18 and wrap up on May 2 in Toronto.

DAVID SEDARIS

Humorist and author David Sedaris has announced a 2024 tour which has him out around the world starting in the spring
