Son Lux Announce New Album ‘Out Into’ and World Tour
Experimental indie-rock trio Son Lux—comprising Ryan Lott, Rafiq Bhatia, and Ian Chang—have announced their return with a new album and a sprawling world tour. The group revealed that their upcoming record, Out Into, is scheduled for release on September 18 via This Is Meru/City Slang.
To celebrate the announcement, the band shared the lead single, “Endlessly.” The track, which was originally commissioned by the Ohio-based marching ensemble the Bluecoats, was eventually reclaimed by the trio after they realized it perfectly captured the themes of paradox and spontaneity central to their new project.
“We’re going places we’ve never gone before in terms of energy, attitude, color,” Ryan Lott said of the new record. “And it all comes from having reverence for those initial sparks, for treating the voice memo version of the idea as the most sacred iteration.”
The release of Out Into follows a prolific period for the band, who previously released a trio of albums—Tomorrows 1, Tomorrows 2, and Tomorrows 3—during the pandemic. Since then, they have garnered significant acclaim for their film scoring work, including the Academy Award-nominated score for Everything Everywhere All at Once and their work on the 2025 film Thunderbolts*.
