The Academy Awards have arrived, signaling the end of the major awards season. The prestigious ceremony is staged in Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre with no set host for the second year in a row.

Top nods go to the likes of Joker with racks in 11 total nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix. Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Sam Mendes’ 1917 all logged 10 nominations each.

Naturally,  Bong Joon Ho’s standout Parasite is also in the running for top honors including Best Picture, Best Director, Best International Feature Film, and Best Original Screenplay.
