OH MY GIRL’s YooA drops playful music video for brand-new solo single ‘Selfish’

OH MY GIRL member and soloist YooA has unveiled the music video for her new single ‘Selfish’ from her sophomore mini-album of the same name.

On November 14, the K-pop idol released her second mini-album as a soloist, titled ‘Selfish’. The record is led by the single of the same name, for which YooA also released a whimsical music video.

In the new visual, YooA sings and dances to the upbeat new track from a press conference in the sky, surrounded by pink and blue clouds. Colourful graphics surround the idol as she performs the song.

My heart in the bathtub / My patience is running out / Swim leisurely again, you’re selfish / Dare to take and shake me,” she sings on pre-chorus of the cheeky new single.

‘Selfish’ marks YooA’s first solo release since her debut with ‘Bon Voyage’ in 2020. That record had featured five songs, along with its title track of the same name.

Prior to its release, YooA also previewed the B-side tracks ‘Lay Low’ and ‘Melody’ with a pair of scenic music videos filmed in Spain. The former follows YooA as she explores city streets and cafes while soundtracked by the upbeat new pop track. Meanwhile, the more laidback ‘Melody’ features the idol enjoying a relaxing day at an empty beach.

Meanwhile, OH MY GIRL’s last music as a group had been their studio album ‘Real Love’, which arrived in March 2022. Shortly after the act concluded their promotional activities for the record, WM Entertainment announced that member Jiho would be leaving both the girl group and agency, therefore also making ‘Real Love’ their final release as a septet.

In a handwritten letter following the news of her departure, Jiho shared that she would now support OH MY GIRL not as one of its members, but as a Miracle (the group’s fanbase). “Thanks to you all, I was able to grow and be happy for the past seven years,” she wrote to fans.
