Kneecap played Brooklyn with Revival Season (pics, setlist)

Irish rap group Kneecap may have canceled their SXSW appearances, but not the rest of their North American tour. It kicked off on St Patrick’s Day in Boston, where they opened for Dropkick Murphys, and hit Brooklyn on Saturday, March 23 for a show at Warsaw. If the band’s energy was a little less than usual — Móglaí Bap was in a walking cast boot due to a “wee sprained ankle” — the crowd, which had a high percentage of Irish fans in attendance, came ready to party and were into it from the get-go. They played a handful of songs from their upcoming debut album, Fine Art, along with older tracks like “H.O.O.D,” “C.E.A.R.T.A,” “ITS BEEN AGES,” “Guilty Conscience” and “Amach Anocht.”

Opening on this tour are Kneecap’s Heavenly Records’ labelmates Revival Season, and photos by P Squared from the whole night, and Kneecap’s setlist, are in this post.

Kneecap start the West Coast leg of their tour tonight (3/26) in Vancouver.
