Despite the number of despicable remarks Donald Trump’s made in the past few weeks alone, his Twitter fingers itch as if he’s trying to sabotage his own campaign ahead of the 2020 elections. Earlier today, Trump went to Twitter where he essentially attempted to create a smear campaign against Martin Gugino, the 75-year-old man who was knocked down by Buffalo police officers during a peaceful protest.

“Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur,” Trump tweeted. “75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment. @OANN I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?”

Kelly Zarcone, the attorney for Martin Gugino, confirmed to TMZ that her client was out of the hospital. However, she shut down Trump’s allegations altogether, calling Trump wrong for even suggesting that. Zarcone denied that Martin was associated with ANTIFA in anyway.

“Martin is out of ICU but still hospitalized and truly needs to rest. Martin has always been a PEACEFUL protestor because he cares about today’s society,” she wrote.

Zarcone added, Martin “is also a typical Western New Yorker who loves his family. No one from law enforcement has even suggested anything otherwise, so we are at a loss to understand why the President of the United States would make such dark, dangerous, and untrue accusations against him.”
