Danger Mouse & Jemini unearth shelved album ‘Born Again’ after 20 years (stream a track)

After Danger Mouse and Jemini The Gifted One released their collaborative 2003 album Ghetto Pop Life, they returned to the studio to make another album, but the project ended up getting shelved. Now, for the first time ever, it’s seeing the light of day. It’s called Born Again, and it’s due August 25 via Lex Records (pre-order). The first song released from the project is “Brooklyn Basquiat.” It’s a bold, confident, boom bap song with a fun flute loop and the hook plays off the same Slick Rick interpolation as Biggie’s “Hypnotize.” Check out the song and tracklist below.
