Breonna Taylor’s case has received a lot of attention but still, the officers who shot and killed her in her home have yet to be charged. Earlier today, penned an open letter calling on the Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to press charges against the officers involved in the crime.

Beyonce laid down that it’s been three months since the senseless killing of Taylor. While new laws have been passed against no-knock warrants, and the LMPD Chief Steve Conrad resigned, Beyonce made it clear that the actual next step for justice was pressing charges against the officers involved in his killing.

“Three months have passed — and zero arrests have been made, and no officers have been fired. The LMPD’s investigation was turned over to your office, and yet all of the officers involved in the shooting remain employed by the LMPD,” Beyonce wrote.  “Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Officers’ Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankison must be held accountable for their actions.”

She urged the AG’s office to take three necessary steps towards bringing justice to Breonna Taylor.

“1. Bring criminal charges against Jonathan Marringly, Myles Cosgrove, and Brett Hankison.

2. Commit to transparency in the investigation and prosecution of these officers’ criminal conduct.

3. Investigate the LMPD’s response to Breonna Taylor’s murder, as well as the pervasive practices that result in the peated deaths of unarmed Black citizens.”
