Wisconsin stoners Bongzilla will release new album Dab City on June 2 via Heavy Psych Sounds, and their slowed-down fuzz sounds as tasty as ever on new single “Hippie Stick.”

GEL – “DICEY”

NJ hardcore band Gel have shared the third single off their upcoming LP Only Constant, and it’s another ripper. Read IO’s new interview with the band for more.

CHAT PILE – “CUT”

DORTHIA COTTRELL – “HARVESTER”

Windhand’s Dorthia Cottrell has shared a new single off her upcoming solo album Death Folk Country, and it’s a dark, psychedelic track that really lives up to the album title.

ASCENDED DEAD – “UNGODLY DEATH”

West Coast death metallers Ascended Dead have announced a new album, Evenfall Of The Apocalypse, due May 12 via 20 Buck Spin. Here’s the pure filth of lead single “Ungodly Death.”

VOIDCEREMONY – “ABYSSIC KNOWLEDGE BEQUEATHED”

Technical blackened death metallers VoidCeremony have shared another intense, erratic track off their upcoming LP Threads of Unknowing.

NEVER ENDING GAME – “NEVER DIE” (ft. JUSTICE TRIPP) & “MEMORIES”

Detroit hardcore band Never Ending Game have announced their sophomore LP Outcry and shared two songs, including one featuring Trapped Under Ice/Angel Du$t vocalist Justice Tripp and TUI guitarist Sam Trapkin. Read more about the songs and album here and pre-order our exclusive splatter vinyl variant.

SUNROT – “TREPANATION”

NJ sludgesters Sunrot have shared another track off The Unfailing Rope, and it’s a harsh, intense song that the band says this about: “Trepanation is an old medical procedure where they would drill a hole into a persons skull to relieve pressure in the head. As a group of people we have all dealt with varying degrees of mental health struggles and the song is using that procedure as a metaphor for the release of that kind of mental pressure.”

GLASS CASKET – “LET THEM GO”

Deathcore vets Glass Casket (who shared members with Between the Buried and Me) are back with their first new music in 17 years. Their new self-titled EP arrives June 9 via Silent Pendulum, and here’s chaotic lead single “Let Them Go.”

USNEA – “THE COMPLEATED SAGE”

The not-easily-pigeonholable PacNW metal band Usnea have shared another track off their upcoming first album in six years, Bathed In Light. Read about it here.

NIGHTMARER – “HAMMER OF DESOLATION”

Dissonant death metallers Nightmarer (current and former members of The Ocean, Convulsing, Gigan, War From A Harlot’s Mouth, and more) have shared a new song off their upcoming sophomore LP and you can read about it here.

EMPIRE STATE BASTARD (BIFFY CLYRO, SLAYER) – “HARVEST”

Empire State Bastard is a new grindcore-inspired project from Biffy Clyro members Simon Neil and Mike Vennart, with the extremely prolific and legendary Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, currently in tons of bands) on drums. They just signed to Roadrunner, and their debut single is “Harvest,” which is like half grindcore, half alternative rock. Interesting mix!

CALLIGRAM – “EX-SISTERE”

London black metallers Calligram have announced their sophomore album, Position | Momentum, due July 14 via Prosthetic. Here’s the tornadic lead single “Ex-Sistere.”

THY CATAFALQUE – “NÉMA VERMEK”

Hungarian avant-garde metal band Thy Catafalque will release new album Alföld on June 16 via Season of Mist, and here’s the totally-out-of-this-world new single “Néma vermek.”

OFF! – “KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT”

Keith Morris-fronted hardcore supergroup OFF! will release the FLSD EP on Record Store Day (4/22), with outtakes from last year’s Free LSD. “We recorded ‘Keep Your Mouth Shut’ for Free LSD but ended up saving it for the movie,” Dimitri Coats says. “We needed a powerful non-album track in the film to establish the band before their attempt to save human consciousness from the clutches of an evil alien species.”

OLTH – “THE LAST SONG”

NYC screamo band OLTH opened for Liturgy at TV Eye on Thursday (3/23), and they’ve also got a new album called every day is sOmeOne’s speciaL day due June 2 via Zegema Beach Records. Lead single “THe LasT sOng” starts out harsh and caustic before turning into some Slint-like post-rock.
