Your Old Droog announces new album ‘Movie,’ shares new song
Brooklyn rapper Your Old Droog has announced a new album, Movie, due June 21 via self-release. It features recent single “DBZ” (ft. Method Man & Denzel Curry, prod. Madlib), a song with Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def), and the just-released, Conductor Williams-produced “Mercury Thermometers.” The new song is another great example of Droog’s knack for boom bap revival, and you can check it out below.
Droog also recently announced a hometown show happening on July 10 at Bowery Ballroom. He’ll have Edan as his DJ, and the show also features Buffalo rapper Ché Noir and a beat set by Conductor Williams.
