The Empire State Building is about to bring da ruckus. New York City mayor Eric Adams has officially declared Thursday, November 9 ‘Wu-Tang Day,’ in honor of the 30th anniversary of their legendary debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and the Empire State Building will light up in black and yellow for the occasion.

That’s just one of many Wu-Tang-related things going on at the moment. There’s also a new Ghostface Killah action figure, a new ODB podcast, and RZA is in the midst of three orchestral 36 Chambers 30th anniversary shows at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre. RZA’s run kicked off last night (11/7) and also includes shows tonight (11/8) and tomorrow (11/9).

Pitchfork reports that Legacy Recordings will release a 7″ box set on Wu-Tang Day with Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) on vinyl, a 60-page book of liner notes, and a pack of 36 Chambers trading cards.

A Wu-Tang Experience: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre will also screen at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater on November 15.
