One of the first items you will need to make an upgrade to your workshop and improve the materials you get from Scrappy in Arc Raiders is a dog collar.

Here is where you can find a dog collar and why it is so important.

A Dog Collar in Arc Raiders can be found in most residential areas in any map, although Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds have the most houses and appartments. Loot is randomized, so you aren’t guaranteed to find one on your run, but searching in these areas will give you a better chance of finding one than if you look elsewhere.

Initially, you get very few items from Scrappy as you play matches but by using a Dog Collar to train them, you can increase your resource gain and allow them to store more materials. This gives you a constant supply of the core materials that make up most of the items and gear you will use.

As you upgrade Scrappy, you will need to find other items like plants and fruit, which are found in tougher maps and more challenging instances Topside, so fully upgrading Scrappy’s resource gain will be a signficant challenge and take some time.
