On February 27, Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter made his second live solo appearance in 17 years. DJing at London’s Alexandra Palace, the producer shared the stage with Fred again.., closing out the London DJ’s USB002 campaign. Watch the performance, which premieres on YouTube tomorrow, below.
Fred again..’s USB002 campaign saw the DJ play one show in a different city for 10 straight weeks. The performances brought high-profile guests to each set. His London show, for example, featured a sprawling list, including Coki, Nia Archives, Mala, Skream, and Underworld.
The last time Bangalter graced the decks was in 2025, at a suprise B2B DJ set at Paris’ Centre Pompidou. There, he also joined Fred again.., as well as Phantasy Sound label head Erol Alkan, and Ed Banger Records founder Pedro Winter. Before that, he played with the other half of Daft Punk, Guy Manuel de Homem Christo, during the Weeknd’s performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Since Daft Punk’s breakup in 2021, the duo have released a tenth anniversary reissue of Random Access Memories as well as a music video for their 2005 single, “Human After All,” shared on the fifth anniversary of their split.
