Savannah metalcore band Vatican have announced a new album, Ultra, due June 17 via UNFD (pre-order). It features their 2021 single "Decemeta," as well as the just-released "Reverence," which fuses bone-crushing metalcore, futuristic production, and a soaring, melodic hook.

""To me, this song has just about the whole package," says singer Mike Sugars. "Just a little bit of everything I like to hear in metalcore. I remember recording the chorus, and our producer Randy Lebouf saying, 'I don't understand how you thought to sing over this, but it's just so perfect.' The song is about people with irresponsible amounts of wealth and the damage they cause to the vast majority of regular people. We don't need 'em." Vatican are also opening Spite's tour alongside Boundaries and Bodybox, including NYC-area shows at Asbury Park's House of Independents on June 9, Brooklyn's Knitting Factory on June 10, and Long Island's Amityville Music Hall on June 11. All dates are listed on the tour poster below.
