over the last three months following the death of her husband Kobe and daughter Gianna. The two passed away in a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of seven others and for months now, the entire basketball world has been looking for answers as to how this could have happened.

and today, Vanessa is celebrating GiGi on what would have been her 14th birthday. In fact, Bryant took to Instagram where she posted a touching tribute to her late daughter.

“Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna. Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!” Vanessa wrote.
