UK rapper Knucks preps ‘Alpha Place,’ playing NYC in June
UK rapper Knucks has been on the rise for years, with projects dating back to 2014 that take influence from his home country's grime as well as US rappers like Nas, J Cole, and MF DOOM, giving Knucks a distinct, transatlantic sound. "When I started listening to US rap, I would take things from each rapper that I liked and formed my own thing blending all of that together," he told Complex in 2020.
Having just appeared on the great new Kojey Radical album, Knucks has now got a new 13-song project, Alpha Place, due May 6 via No Days Off, and four great tracks from that are out now: "Alpha House," "Nice & Good, "Hide & Seek," and "Leon the Professional." Watch the videos for all four below.
Knucks recently announced a UK tour that sold out in minutes, and he's got a US one-off happening at Knitting Factory Brooklyn on June 11 with AJRadico and Nesta. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
