THOM YORKE
Thom Yorke of Radiohead and The Smile has announced a solo tour in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Japan happening this fall. “I will be alone on stage trying a new kind of solo show thing playing versions of the songs I have written from my recent and not so recent past,” Thom says.
VINCE STAPLES
Vince Staples released his great new album Dark Times last month, and now he’s announced the “Black in America” tour supporting it.
ACTION BRONSON
Action Bronson just announced a new album, Johann Sebastian Bachlava The Doctor, and he’s added some more summer tour dates to his schedule.
MY MORNING JACKET W/ S.G. GOODMAN, JADE BIRD
My Morning Jacket will be on a co-headlining tour with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats in September and immediately after they’ll be on a short headlining run. Savannah and Knoxville shows are with S.G. Goodman, and Richmond and Cleveland shows are with Jade Bird.
GARY CLARK JR.
Gary Clark Jr. will be on the road through September supporting his new album JPEG RAW, including an NYC show at Radio City Music Hall on June 11 with The Free Nationals.
KAITLIN BUTTS
Country singer Kaitlin Butts releases her new album, Roadrunner!, later this month, and she’s announced her first headlining tour supporting it.
CYNDI LAUPER
Cyndi Lauper has been going strong since releasing her classic 1983 debut album She’s So Unusual just over 40 years ago, but it looks like she’ll be saying goodbye. To touring at least, with a farewell trek this fall.
JOE JACKSON
Joe Jackson is currently on a tour that features two distinct sets: first a solo set and then with a nine-piece band where he’ll play music from his English music hall musician Max Champion alter ego. The tour hits Harlem’s historic Apollo Theatre on on June 7.
MDC / URBAN WASTE / SOJI
Austin hardcore legends MDC (aka Millions of Dead Cops) are still going strong after more than 40 years, and they’ve got some shows coming up this year, including dates with NYHC legends Urban Waste and newer Philly band Soji.
FROZEN SOUL / CREEPING DEATH / GATES TO HELL
Hardcore-infused death metal bands Frozen Soul, Creeping Death, and Gates to Hell and crossover thrashers Enforced have announced a tour surrounding Frozen Soul and Creeping Death’s appearances at This Is Hardcore.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE / THE KILLS
Queens of the Stone Age have added four more dates to their 2024 The End is Nero Tour, hitting Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago and Madison, WI in early fall. All of those shows are with The Kills.
PINK SIIFU
Pink Siifu has added more dates to his summer tour with Turich Benjy that also includes, depending on the date, support from HiTech and Boyband. The tour is in June and includes stops in Atlanta, Raleigh, DC, Philly, Brooklyn (Cafe Erzulie on 6/18 with Hitech and Cake Dog), Detroit, Columbus, and Chicago.
SUNDAY SOUL SCREAM 2024
New York Night Train‘s Sunday Soul Scream series got underway over Memorial Day Weekend, featuring free/cheap live music and DJs on the Bushwick venue’s roof, and it runs through Labor Day Weekend. This year’s lineup includes Lydia Lunch, Shilpa Ray and The Men, Miranda & The Beat, Bloodshot Bill, and more.
MATCHESS
Whitney Johnson will on tour this summer, both as part of her long-running Matchess project and duo shows with Lia Kohl.
