TEGAN AND SARA / BECCA MANCARI

Tegan and Sara have announced the Not Tonight Tour where they’ll play If It Was You in full, acoustic, along with other favorites. Becca Mancari opens on this currently all-Canada trek.

METRIC

Metric‘s new album Formentera II is out next month, and after wrapping up their tour with Noel Gallagher and Garbage, they’ve announced new fall headlining dates to celebrate the new album. They’ll also be marking the 20th anniversary of their first album, 2003’s Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? at the shows, which hit clubs in a few North American cities before heading to Europe and the UK for acoustic events with Emily Haines and James Shaw.

MITSKI

Back in August, Mitski announced that she’d preview her new album The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We with intimate, acoustic performances, Amateur Mistake, in the UK and Europe in October. She’s now announced a few North American dates as well, happening in September.

JEREMY DUTCHER

Canadian artist and Polaris Prize winner Jeremy Dutcher will release new album MOTEWOLONUWOK ᒣᑏᐧᐁᓓᓄᐧᐁᒃ on October 6 via Secret City. “This album is about shining light on the hard and soft places of contemporary indigenous experience, as I’ve come to know them. There is joy, pain and so much beauty there.” He’ll be on tour across Canada this fall but is playing Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on September 19.

CORINNE BAILEY RAE

UK singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae is currently on her Black Rainbows tour which hits NYC this Sunday (9/10) at The National Jazz Museum in Harlem. She’ll be back early 2024 for shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Ridgefield, CT and a run at NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Club on February 15-18.

HASAN MINHAJ

Comedian Hasan Minhaj will be out on the Off With His Head Tour this fall and he’s already added a second NYC appearance, a late show on 12/15 at Beacon Theatre. It and the early show are almost sold out so don’t be surprised if he adds more.

JOHN-ALLISON WEISS / FUTURE TEENS

John-Allison Weiss will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Say What You Mean on tour this fall. Dates are co-headlining with Future Teens that includes a Brooklyn show at Elsewhere Zone One on November 14.

ELLIE GOULDING ORCHESTRAL SHOWS

Ellie Goulding has announced three special shows where she’ll be backed by an orchestra. Things kick off in Brooklyn at Kings Theatre on November 16 with Wordless Orchestra and then she heads to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

KILLER MIKE TALK & SIGNING AT ROUGH TRADE

Killer Mike will celebrate the release of his new album, Michael, on September 17 at Rough Trade NYC (4 PM). He’ll sit down with Carrie Colliton, Co-Founder of Record Store Day, to “discuss his very personal new album and how its working class themes tie in with the spirit of independent record stores.” He’ll also sign copies of his new album.

AMAARAE

Amaarae‘s second album, Fountain Baby, is one of our favorites of 2023 so far, and she’s announced a 2024 tour supporting it.

SAMPHA

Sampha has announced a fall tour in support of new album, Lahai.

TKAY MAIDZA

Tkay Maidza‘s sophomore album Sweet Justice is out in November via 4AD, and she’ll be on tour this fall.

NEW WET KOJAK (GVSB)

Girls Against Boys offshoot New Wet Kojak have announced their first shows in nearly 20 years.

JAWBREAKER

With 1234Fest cancelled, Jawbreaker have added new dates in Philadelphia and Denver to their tour.

POISON THE WELL

Miami metalcore greats Poison the Well will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2003 album You Come Before You by performing it in full at a few select US shows in January.

TYLER CHILDERS

Tyler Childers‘ new album Rustin’ In The Rain is out this Friday (9/8), and he’s announced a 2024 tour supporting it. The dates begin in Europe in February, with a North American leg starting in April. Sylvan Esso, Allison Russell, Hayes Carll, Medium Build, 49 Winchester, and John R. Miller each open select shows.

HARDLY STRICTLY BLUEGRASS LINEUP ADDITIONS

The 2023 edition of San Francisco’s free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival happens September 29 – October 1 at Golden Gate Park. They’ve just announced more artists including Emmylou Harris, The Teskey Brothers, M. Ward, Shakey Graves, Bombino, Syd Straw, Hermanos Gutierrez, The Third Mind, Eilen Jewell, and The SticklerPhonics. Head here for the whole lineup.

BIA / LAKEYAH / LEBRA JOLIE

Massachusetts rapper Bia will support her new Really Her EP on a tour with Milwaukee rapper Lakeyah and Houston rapper Lebra Jolie. That stacked triple bill includes NYC’s Irving Plaza on October 16.

WHITNEY / RAHILL

Whitney have a short run of East Coast dates in October, which are with Rahill and include Jersey City, Woodstock, NYC, the Boston area and Mystic, CT’s Mystic Folkways Festival.

CODE ORANGE

Code Orange‘s new album The Above is out later this month (pre-order on transparent ochre vinyl), and they’ll celebrate its release with an NYC show with Vein.fm and more.

CRACK CLOUD

Vancouver collective Crack Cloud are playing NYC and Boston shows with Yves Tumor, and right after they’ve lined up a few NY headline shows: Troy’s No Fun on 10/6, Tubby’s Kingston on 10/7 and NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on 10/8. These will be Crack Cloud’s first East Coast US appearances.
