TEARS FOR FEARS LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY

British band Tears for Fears have announced a three-night residency at Fontainbleau Las Vegas from October 30 – November 2. “It’s been a while since we’ve been on the road and are very eager to share this live show experience with everyone,” say bandmates Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. “You can expect to hear tracks from our 2022 album The Tipping Point as well as fan favorites. Be sure to listen closely though as there may be something new sprinkled in there as well.” The shows are called “Songs for a Nervous Planet”…could that also be a hint?

MODEST MOUSE

Good news for people who like Good News for People Who Love Bad News — Modest Mouse will be playing that 2004 album in full on tour for its 20th anniversary.

THREE 6 MAFIA

Oscar-winning rappers Three 6 Mafia have a few shows lined up over the next few months, including an appearance at Louisville’s Louder Than Life fest and a Brooklyn show at Brooklyn Mirage on October 24.

SECT

SECT (members of Cursed, Earth Crisis, Catharsis, Racetraitor, Fall Out Boy, etc) are hitting Cambridge and Brooklyn this month in support of their great new LP Plagues Upon Plagues.

TIM MINCHIN

Australian comedian and musician Tim Minchin is wrapping up his North American “Unfunny” tour, which are his first US solo shows in over a decade, and feature “more of an unplanned intimate ‘evening with’ vibe as Tim chats about his songwriting and performs songs drawn from his 2020 studio album, Apart Together, his musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day, his TV and film writing and from his early song-writing days around the turn of the century.” The tour wraps up with a pair of NYC shows on August 25 (sold out) and August 26 at Town Hall.

THE STORY SO FAR / SUPERHEAVEN / KOYO

The Story So Far will be on the road supporting their first album in six years, I Want To Disappear, this fall and are taking Superheaven and Koyo with them.

Jeff Rosenstock will warm up for his upcoming Brooklyn run by opening for Taking Back Sunday at the Rooftop at Pier 17 tomorrow (8/20).

BLACK CROWES’ CHRIS & RICH ROBINSON

Chris and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes will be at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on September 11 as part of the Grammy Museum’s series at the venue. They’ll talk about the band’s new album, Happiness Bastards, and more, with a performance to follow.

NARDWUAR

Spend an evening with The Human Serviette as Nardwuar hosts one of his “Video Vault” events in NYC in September.
