CHICANO BATMAN / LIDO PIMIENTA
Chicano Batman will release new album Notebook Fantasy on March 29 via ATO. They’ll also be out on tour with Lido Pimienta this spring, including a NYC show at Brooklyn Steel on May 9.
NORAH JONES
Norah Jones has added a second NYC show to her upcoming tour with Emily King happening at Brooklyn Paramount on May 17 (She also plays the venue on May 16). All dates here.
BOB DYLAN
Bob Dylan‘s “Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour” keeps on rolling; he’s just announced the first 2024 dates of the trek.
SAM AMIDON
Sam Amidon will be on tour this spring. Things kick off at Knoxville’s Big Ears festival where he’ll perform with his partner, Beth Orton, and Shahzad Ismaily. At other East Coast dates on the tour he’ll be joined by drummer Chris Vatalaro, and at Woodstock’s Levon Helm’s Barn on March 28 he’ll also play with Josh Kaufman, Bridget St. John, and Annie Nero. On the West Coast he’ll play with, depending on the stop, Laura Veirs, Sam Gendel, and more. Before that Sam will perform at Brooklyn’s e-flux on January 25 for “Alice Henry and the Collapse of the Western Plateau” along with Elizabeth A. Povinelli, Thomas Bartlett, and DM Stith.
EMPRESS OF
Empress Of will support her new album on tour this year, but there are only a few dates so far.
AARON WEST & THE ROARING TWENTIES
Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties, the folk rock project of The Wonder Years’ Dan Campbell, have announced a tour in support of their upcoming album In Lieu of Flowers. Support varies throughout, with Pile of Love (members of The Story So Far, Drug Church, Militarie Gun) and Cliff Morgan on the Western US leg, Future Teens and Dryjacket (acoustic) in the UK, and Future Teens and Maura Weaver (ex-Mixtapes) on the Eastern US leg.
JASON ANDERSON
Jason Anderson has announced a piano tour for early February. “I am lucky to be playing some absolutely beautiful spaces on this run,” he says. “Juliet will even be there to sing with me at a couple of them. My piano sets from home have been a huge source of inspiration. Excited to take that energy on the road.” Dates include Brooklyn’s Threes Brewing on February 5.
HATEBREED
Connecticut metalcore giants Hatebreed will celebrate their 30th anniversary with their biggest home state show ever, a Sunday matinee at Toyota Oakdale Theatre on March 17. The lineup has a handful of other Connecticut bands (100 Demons, With Honor, Shadow of Intent, Dead by Wednesday), plus fellow metalcore veterans Shadows Fall and Sworn Enemy, along with Eyes of the Living and DemonScar.
BOTCH
After playing their first show in 20 years in Seattle in 2022, Botch began their reunion tour back in the fall, and have shows in Europe, the UK, and Australia scheduled from March through May. They’re wrapping up the reunion after that, and have announced what they say are their “final shows as a band,” happening in Seattle in June.
THE MARKED MEN
Punks The Marked Men will be on a tour of the Midwest and Pacific Northwest in April and May, with stops in Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Seattle, Vancouver and Portland.
GANSER OPENING FOR MCLUSKY
Chicago post-punks Ganser have been tapped to open a string of shows on Mclusky’s upcoming tour including Chicago, Minneapolis, Nashville, Atlanta, Carrboro, and DC. Mclusky’s NYC show at Warsaw on March 7 is with Pure Adult.
KAMAIYAH
West Coast rapper Kamaiyah has announced the “ANother Summer Night” tour which ironically happens in the spring, kicking off March 7 in Bellingham, WA. Dates include NYC’s Mercury Lounge on March 30.
TIACORINE
North Carolina rapper TiaCorine has announced a Monster Energy sponsored tour with stops in Chicago, Detroit, NYC (Racket on 3/8), Boston, Philly, DC, Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, L.A., Seattle and more.
SXSW
South by Southwest has added more than 350 showcasing artists to its 2024 edition, including Black Keys, Scowl, Kneecap, SNŐÕPER, Johnny Jewel, Bootsy Collins, Therapy?, STRFKR, Allegra Krieger, Arny Margret, and Corridor.
BOURBON & BEYOND
Bourbon & Beyond, the Americana-centric festival put on by Danny Wimmer Presents, will return for its 2024 edition on September 19-22 at Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, KY. This year will feature over 100 artists over five stages, including Neil Young, Zach Bryan, Beck, Tyler Childers, The National, Fleet Foxes, Sunny Day Real Estate, and more.
MUTOID MAN
Mutoid Man, the metal power trio of Stephen Brodsky (Cave In), Ben Koller (Converge) and Jeff Matz (High on Fire), will be on a short East Coast tour in March, including a mix of rescheduled and new dates; a few of them are with Tower.
AGRICULTURE
Ecstatic black metallers Agriculture released one of our favorite metal albums of 2023 with their self-titled debut LP on The Flenser, and now the LA band have announced their first-ever East Coast tour, happening right before they play Roadburn.
