SCREAMING FEMALES

Screaming Females will be on tour this fall, with support from Lip Critic, Rodeo Boys, Dusk, and Dazy depending on the date. Things kick off October 27 in Durham, NC and include stops in Gainesville, Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Iowa City, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Toronto, Buffalo and more. The band will soon be on the road with Lung, and have a few shows with The Breeders coming up, including Brooklyn’s Kings Theater on September 23. All dates are here.

DJ KOZE

DJ Koze, who just released a new 12″ and produced Róisín Murphy, will be in the US for the Making Time and Portola festivals this fall, and while here will play an extended late afternoon / early evening set at NYC’s Elsewhere Rooftop on September 23.

100 GECS

100 gecs have added a couple shows to their 2023 itinerary at Tennessee’s subterranean cave venue The Caverns on September 14 (with Chat Pile and DJ Chaotic Ugly) and September 15 (with Machine Girl). Those are just ahead of their appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago, and their only other show is opening for boygenius at Hollywood Bowl on Halloween.

10,000 MANIACS

Long-running Upstate NY alt-rock band 10,000 Maniacs will be busy on the road this fall, including the DC area, Red Bank, Tarrytown (Tarrytown Music Hall on 11/10), Park City (UT) and more.

THE PHARCYDE

Hip hop greats The Pharcyde have a few dates lined up for the summer and fall, including the 2023 edition of Arkansas’ Format Festival in September. They’ve also got a string of East Coast shows in November, including Philly, the Boston area and NYC.

JAWBREAKER / JOYCE MANOR / GRUMPSTER

Surrounding their appearances at the Denver and NJ/Philly editions of 1234FEST, Jawbreaker and Joyce Manor will hit the road together with Grumpster, with stops in Phoenix, Austin, Cincinnati, Boston, Orlando, and more.

GEORGIA

British alt-pop artist Georgia just released her Rostam-produced LP Euphoric in July. She’s now announced two North American shows to support its release: one in Brooklyn on October 2 at Elsewhere Zone One and one in Los Angeles on October 4 at Resident DTLA.

SHYGIRL / TINASHE

Shygirl and Tinashe collaborated last year on an alternate version of “Heaven” for Nympho_o, the deluxe edition of Shygirl’s fantastic 2022 album Nymph, and now the two artists have announced a co-headlining tour together. They’ll be on the road in North America with support from UNIIQU3 starting on October 28 in Chicago, and running through November 18 in Oakland.

DAVE CHAPPELLE

Dave Chappelle announced a US tour last week, with dates in August, September, and October, including two NYC shows at Madison Square Garden on August 22 and 23. He’s now added two more NYC shows to his itinerary at the same venue.

DANIEL SLOSS

Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss will return to America this fall with his new standup show, CAN’T. Dates wrap up in NYC for the 2023 New York Comedy Festival.

DELICATE STEVE

Guitar maestro Delicate Steve will be weilding his axe at shows this summer and fall, mostly in the Northeast. Catch him at Brooklyn’s The Sultan Room on August 5 (a bonus to his Hot July Residency), as well as shows in Minnesota, Chicago, and Rhode Island. He’ll also play Kingston, NY’s O+ Festival in October.

O+ FESTIVAL 2023

Speaking of, the O+ Festival returns to Kingston from October 6-8 for three days of art, music and wellness. The 2023 lineup includes Amythyst Kiah, Bobcat Goldthwait, Mahogany L. Browne with Max Michael Jacob, Gail Ann Dorsey, Carsie Blanton, Amber Rubarth, Holly Miranda, Constant Smiles, Delicate Steve, jetsonorama, Richard Buckner, and Pamela Laws & The Hudson Valley Allstars. O+ Festival 2023

2023 NEW YORKER FESTIVAL

The 2023 New Yorker Festival happens October 6-8 at various NYC venues, with their usual mix of conversation, music, film, books, food, theater and art. This year they’re not announcing the whole lineup at once, though, having just announced the initial lineup that includes Paramore, Weird Al, Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner, and more.

MOLLY TUTTLE

Singer-songwriter Molly Tuttle and her live band Golden Highway have announced the “Next Rodeo” tour, which spans the East Coast through the month of November. The trip (along with the “Road To El Dorado” West Coast tour) supports Molly’s latest album, City Of Gold, which came out in July via Nonesuch.

ANTIBALAS

Afrobeat mainstays Antibalas have a few select shows on their schedule, all pretty close to their NYC home. They’ll help close out the Montclair Jazz Festival on September 9, and have two nights at Brooklyn Bowl on November 3 & 4.

THE MOMMYHEADS / PER SUNDING (EGGSTONE)

The Mommyheads will support their new album Coney Island Kid this fall with a few tour dates, including Northeast shows with Per Sunding of Swedish group Eggstone, which will be his first-ever US dates. Sunding will be backed at the shows by members of The Mommyheads, Apples in Stereo and The B-52’s.

BLACKLISTED

Blacklisted broke up in 2018, but now they’re back! The boundary-pushing Philly hardcore band just announced their first shows in five years.

BETTER LOVERS

Every Time I Die/Dillinger Escape Plan supergroup Better Lovers played their first NYC show when their tour supporting Underoath hit Irving Plaza last week, and now they announced their first headlining NYC show.

DYING WISH

Fresh off playing Sound and Fury, Portland metalcore band Dying Wish have announced a tour in support of their upcoming album Symptoms of Survival. They’ll be joined by a host of great bands, varying by date, including Boundaries, Omerta, Foreign Hands, Gates To Hell, Roman Candle, and Excide.

BOTCH TOUR OPENERS

Botch have announced more openers for their fall reunion tour, which begins in October. Back in June, they added Converge and Cave In as support for the Boston and New Jersey shows. Now, they’ve announced SUMAC, Gold Sweats, Primitive Man, Uniform, Deaf Club, Roman Candle, FACS, Portrayal Of Guilt, Helms Alee, Psychic Death, Sweet Cobra, Kowloon Walled City, Mutoid Man, Help, Fuck Money, Thirdface, Burial Waves, and Negative Blast will each join them at select shows.

WALTER ETC

Walter Etc will support their upcoming LP When the Band Breaks Up Again on tour this fall, including Brooklyn’s Alphaville on November 4.

STICK TO YOUR GUNS

Orange County hardcore staples Stick To Your Guns have announced an 11th anniversary tour for 2012’s Diamond, and they’ll be joined by some other great bands, including Winnipeg hardcore vets Comeback Kid, Deathwesterners Spiritworld, and Nashville metalcore band Orthodox.

KATIE ALICE GREER

Katie Alice Greer, formerly of Priests, has announced shows supporting her 2022 debut solo LP, Barbarism. On Instagram, she wrote, “I am FINALLY gonna get back on the open road and play some shows this fall! ? Just me, my guitar, and maybe a drum machine.”

HOT MULLIGAN

Hot Mulligan have announced a fall tour supporting their great album Why Would I Watch, which came out earlier in 2023. The Michigan punks will be joined on the road by Heart Attack Man, Spanish Love Songs, and Ben Quad.
