They Hate Change announce Jagjaguwar debut, share “From the Floor”
Tampa experimental rap/production duo They Hate Change signed to Jagjaguwar last year, and now they announced their first album for the label, Finally, New, due May 13. Along with the announcement comes new single "From the Floor" (ft. DJ GAY-Z) and here's what the duo says about this one:
"From the Floor" is an ode to Florida car culture, parking lot Electro parties, Miami Bass and Breakbeat Hardcore. We play narrator roles in the video, describing the scene as spectators, admirers, and occasional participants, while our unnamed main character plays it cool behind the wheel, unbothered by the party springing up around his classic Chevy. The sound and look for a modern Florida, for 2022 and beyond.
You can hear all those influences coming through in this one — listen and watch the video below. The album also includes recent single "1000 Horses."
They Hate Change are opening for Shame on tour this year, and those dates were recently rescheduled. All are listed below.
