It’s been 40 years since The Breakfast Club hit theaters, becoming a box office hit and instant coming-of-age classic that’s still beloved by viewers today.

Released in 1995, the John Hughes film cemented the star power of leads Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall (who had both starred in Hughes’ Sixteen Candles the year before), along with rising “Brat Pack” actors, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson. It made countless “best of” lists (including topping Rolling Stone‘s “Greatest Movies of the Eighties” rundown) and even won a “Silver Bucket of Excellence Award” at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. The cult classic continues to be regarded as quintessential viewing for both film buffs and pop culture fans alike.

Fans looking to relive their Eighties nostalgia can now stream The Breakfast Club online through Amazon Prime Video, where it’s available to rent for just $3.79. You have 30 days to start watching the video after you’ve rented it, and 48 hours to finish the movie once started.

Prefer to own a copy of The Breakfast Club? Amazon has a digital download of the original film available to download for just $4.99 here. You can also purchase The Breakfast Club on Blu-ray through Amazon, which has both the original version as well as the 30th anniversary release on sale now.

The 30th anniversary edition features digitally remastered footage along with hours of bonus footage, including a trivia game, a behind-the-scenes look at the “origins of the Brat Pack” and commentary from Hall and Nelson.

In 2018, meantime, The Criterion Collection released a special Breakfast Club Blu-ray that features a 4K digital restoration, cast and crew commentary, archival promotional interviews and 50 minutes of never-before-seen deleted and extended scenes. While The Breakfast Club is now celebrating its 40th anniversary, there have been no plans or details (as of this writing) for a new physical or digital release.

Of course, The Breakfast Club also spawned a memorable soundtrack, which featured the hit song “Don’t You (Forget About Me)“, performed by Scottish rock band Simple Minds. You can purchase the Breakfast Club soundtrack on vinyl through Amazon.

A ton of Breakfast Club merch has hit the internet for the film’s 40th anniversary, including this pink and black T-shirt above. The shirt is available on Amazon as part of Universal Pictures’ official Breakfast Club store, which also features costumes, posters and other collectibles.

Fans can also re-live The Breakfast Club in figurine form — merch company Funko recently released an Eighties-inspired collection of their popular Funko Pop vinyl figures, featuring memorable characters from The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and other cult-favorite teen movies of the decade.
