A few days ago, made headlines when he confidently declared his willingness to go toe-to-toe with Jay-Z . It’s no surprise that Jay was X’s opponent of choice, given that many would gladly hand Hov the GOAT title and call it a day; what better challenge than to go for the man at the top? Following X’s declaration, a conversation proceeded to spark off largely pertaining to X’s bility against such a foe.

Boasting three classic albums to his name, as well as a slew of hard-hitting singles and Ruff Ryders cuts, it’s clear that the legendary Yonkers emcee could hold his own against damn near anyone with a twenty-song setlist. And while it’s highly unlikely that a Verzuz battle between X and Hov could be arranged, still took a moment to address both emcees with a throwback picture.
“2 Kings that changed the game 4 life! Both brothers of mine,” he writes, alongside an image of the “Money Cash Hoes” collaborators. It’s clear that both X and Jay have the utmost respect for Swizzy, having worked on music with him for years. In the event that Verzuz could actually manage to pull off Jay-Z against DMX, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear several Swizz Beatz bangers ringing off in each setlist. If only we could wish the match-up into existence.
