Almost ten years after it debuted, Netflix juggernaut Stranger Things comes to an end with its fifth and final season.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, the coming-of-age series centres around a group of kids in the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s. The group befriends a young girl with psychokinetic abilities, who has escaped from a nearby laboratory and opened a gateway to a twisted parallel dimension, called the Upside Down.

The show’s fifth season takes place in the autumn of 1987, as the residents of Hawkins unite to take down the all-powerful Vecna.

Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown lead the show’s cast, alongside Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp.

When do the final episodes of Stranger Things season 5 come out in the UK?

Stranger Things season five is being rolled out across three dates. There are eight episodes in total, with the first half being released on November 27, 2025.

The remaining four episodes will be dished out over Christmas. While US viewers will get Volume 2, comprised of three episodes, on Christmas Day at 5pm PT, this translates to 1am Boxing Day in the UK. In the same vein, UK viewers will get the finale on New Year’s Day instead of New Year’s Eve at the same time.
