Scooter Braun is endorsing Kamala Harris for President — and somehow making it about Taylor Swift.

On Sunday, minutes after former President Donald Trump posted “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on Truth Social, the former music manager shared a post on his Instagram Story, asking Trump to “shake off” his hatred for Swift — while Braun endorsed Harris in the process.

“Shake It Off Donald,” he wrote. “Kamala 2024.”

Trump had shared the anti-Swift post on Sunday, just days after the pop star endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket for president following last week’s debate where Harris demolished Trump. Swift signed her post with her name and “Childless Cat Lady” — trolling Trump’s VP pick J.D. Vance, who said “a bunch of childless cat ladies” were running the country.

After Trump’s tantrum, Harris’ camp was quick to respond, sharing a statement filled with references to Swift’s song titles.

“Donald Trump’s week of whining and spouting conspiracy theories has voters on both sides of the aisle ready to Forget That He Existed,” wrote Harris-Walz spokesperson Sarafina Chitika. “The American people want to be Out of the Woods of the chaos and division of the Trump era.”

Swift seems to be living in Braun’s brain rent-free, as she has not spoken publicly about him in years. In fact, the music manager using the Tortured Poets Department singer’s name to propel his Harris endorsement comes five years after the now-infamous battle that sparked Swift to launch her Taylor’s Version re-releases.

In a quick summary of that drama: Braun‘s Ithaca Holdings acquired Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group, and with it, the master recordings to each of Taylor Swift‘s first six studio albums. Swift’s side argued that she was shut out of the sale of her masters, adding that Borchetta “knew what he was doing” selling her music to someone with whom she had a long-standing conflict. Meanwhile, Braun claimed Swift refused to negotiate, which incited her fan base against him.
