Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation (the same organization that hosts the elegant annual Diamond Ball) is stepping up in a major way to combat COVID-19.
The nonprit’s ficial Twitter account announced on Saturday (March 21) that it would be dividing $5 million between Partners In Health, Direct Relief, Feeding America, International Rescue Committee, World Health Organization (WHO) and the megastar’s home country Barbados in efforts for them to obtain scarce medical supplies, food banks and more in the wake the coronavirus pandemic.

Her record label, Roc Nation, also applauded the move on social media.
Founded in 2012 and named after Rihanna’s grandparents, the Clara Lionel Foundation has had its hands in emergency responses during hurricanes, famines, and other natural disasters.
