Mac Miller’s expected to have seven of his album project make their way onto the Billboard 200 following his death, according to Billboard’s industry forecasters. The rapper’s music has seen a major surge in streaming since his death last Friday. His latest body of work, Swimming is predicted to re-enter the top five on the Billboard 200. The album debuted at number three upon its release. Swimming marked Mac Miller’s fifth project to hit the top 10.
Aside from Swimming, some of his earlier work is expected to make its way onto the chart. Mac Miller’s 2011 mixtape, Best Day Ever is predicted to make its Billboard 200 chart debut within the top 30. His project is expected to move 15K equivalent album units by the end of the week. Mac Miller’s albums, Blue Slide Park, The Divine Feminine and GO:OD AM, will possibly make its way to the top 40 on the charts. Additionally, Mac Miller’s sophomore release Watching Movies With The Sound Off, is expected to make its way into the top 50 with perhaps 8K to 10K units moved within the past week. Macadelic is also predicted to find its way back on the charts.
Folllowing Mac’s death, it was reported that his streaming numbers made a significant increase of 970 per cent. On the day of his death (Sept. 7th), the rapper’s streaming numbers went up from 3.04M to 32.5M.
