Lorde makes live comeback on SNL with ‘Green Light’ and ‘Liability’

The Kiwi pop star played two tracks from her new album Melodrama.

Lorde was the musical guest on last night’s episode Saturday Night Live with her first live performance in two years. Introduced by guest host Scarlett Johanssen, she sang two tracks from her forthcoming second album, Melodrama, leading with an energetic rendition lead single ‘Green Light’.

She then performed the stripped-back piano track ‘Liability’ accompanied on keys by the album’s producer, Jack Antonf, played along on piano. Check out both performances below.

 

 

Lorde began her album rollout last week with a trail street displays in her hometown Auckland.

The album art is a painting the singer by artist Sam McKinniss, which she shared on Instagram this week.
