Moore is a veteran journalist who previously served as an editor for Bandcamp Daily. His written work has appeared in media outlets such as The Washington Post, Entertainment Weekly, NPR, Pitchfork and the BBC. Atria Books is a division publisher Simon & Schuster.
The Lamar biography is described as “the definitive account his coming–age as an artist, his resurrection two languishing genres (bebop and jazz), his pround impact on a racially fraught America and his emergence as the bona fide King Rap.”
Pre-orders for The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul Black America are available now. Hardcover copies are being sold for $27 on Amazon and Simon & Schuster’s online store, though prices may vary at other booksellers.
