Karol G played Lolla, adds Young Miko & Bad Gyal to tour; new album out this week
Karol G made Lollapalooza history on Thursday (8/3) as the Chicago fest’s first Latin female headliner (following J Balvin’s performance in 2019 as the first Latin headliner in general). Karol’s set was one for the ages, per Billboard:
“Hey Chicago!” she said to a sea of fans exactly at 8:40 p.m. “Ay ay ay! How are we doing pues? We’re here to have a good time, yes or no? Trying with my English to say this is so amazing. Thank you for supporting Karol G. Let’s go!” Looking like the Bichota that she is wearing leopard-print bell-bottom pants and a Rolling Stones halter top, the woman of the hour — with her dramatically long pink hair and all — stepped foot onto her Mañana Será Bonito-inspired stage where flowers blossomed.
Karol G also blossomed into the superstar that she delivering anthem after anthem — powered by her all-women live band — in a setlist that spanned her albums KG0516 and Mañana Será Bonito. She kicked off with the empowering “TQG” and then went straight to the banger “Besties.” “Where are all my besties at?” she asked. Apparently, all her besties were in attendance and there to support their ruling Bichota.

This year continues to keep La Bichota busy, as she’s now announced the openers for her Mañana Será Bonito stadium tour. Those include DJ AGUDELO888 who’s opened for her before, as well as two other Latin female artists, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko and Spanish singer Bad Gyal, on select dates. The tour stops in the NYC area on September 7 and 8 at MetLife Stadium with support from DJ AGUDELO888 and Young Miko. All dates below.
Karol G also joined DJ Dennis and Maluma on a remix of “Tá OK” that dropped last week, and she’s releasing her second album of 2023, Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), this Friday (8/11), the same day Karol starts her tour.
Bad Gyal appears on Karol G’s first album of 2023, Mañana Será Bonito, and Young Miko guests on the recent remix of Bad Gyal’s “Chulo.” Listen to those tracks below.
