Brownsville rapper Ka has surprise-released a new album, The Thief Next to Jesus. It’s his first in two years and, as usual, it’s not on streaming and is only available as a $20 download from his website. He produced it himself at with engineer Connor Schultze behind the boards at Studio City Sound.

“Thank you for still being interested after my 2 years away,” Ka wrote on Instagram. “I really wanted to come back with something meaningful. This one holds a special place for me. Hope it moves you in the same way.”

Ka has made the video for one track, “Such Devotion,” available on streaming; it features him putting it together with a vintage gospel album. Watch the video below.
