Today, Jordan came through with an unprecedented pledge as he released a statement saying Jordan Brand would commit $100 million over the next 10 years to organizations in the black community. In his statement, Jordan makes sure to note that Black Lives Matter and that he wants to help provide real change for his people.

“Jordan Brand is us, the Black Community,” the statement read. “Black lives matter. This isn’t a controversial statement. Until the ingrained racism that allows our country’s institutions to fail is completely eradicated, we will remain committed to protecting and improving the lives of Black people.”
