The November tour will see Jimmy Eat World play their first gigs in the UK since 2022, when they performed at a sold-out show at Brixton Academy and headlined 2000 Trees Festival. The dates came around the release of their latest singles ‘Place Your Debts’ and ‘Something Loud’.
At time of writing, the band are currently in the studio working on new music. They are also celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic third studio album, ‘Clarity’.
To celebrate the milestone, the band recently released ‘Clarity: Phoenix Sessions’ – a limited-edition two-LP which saw them reimagine the album’s original 13 songs. The tracks were recorded live as part of their 2021 global stream Phoenix Sessions performances.
The new tour announcement also comes following the group wrapping up a joint tour of North America with Fall Out Boy, with dates spanning across February, March and April.
As for other Jimmy Eat World news, ahead of the members heading across the pond, they are set to perform at the 2024 edition of the When We Were Young festival. Held in Las Vegas, the shows will take place on October 21 and 22, and will see the band perform their iconic fourth record, 2001’s ‘Bleed American’ in its entirety. Visit here for remaining tickets to US shows.
Jimmy Eat World’s last full length project was 2019’s ‘Surviving‘. In a three star review of the LP, NME shared: “This album explores some of the different kinds of weights my ego tells me I have to carry… They came up among a crop of bands intent on mining nostalgia and living relentlessly in the past, but the group’s bold, brave steps forward are welcome.”
