Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri Make the Most of a ‘Dysfunctional Kitchen’ in ‘The Bear’ Season 3 Trailer

Cookin’ Up

Upcoming season will premiere on Hulu on June 27

The kitchen’s literally on fire in the new teaser for The Bear Season 3. On Friday, FX released an official clip of the fan-favorite’s upcoming season, out June 27, giving a closer look at the kitchen chaos.

“Mixed Emotions” by The Rolling Stones soundtracks the 40-second teaser, highlighting the chaos and commotion of the restaurant’s kitchen. Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) leads the kitchen to “fire” steak and cavatelli before Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) naturally makes them start over.

“I’m getting drilled out there!” declares Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s character Richie before clips of plates falling, chefs failing, and Carmy throwing a meal in the trash.

“This is a dysfunctional kitchen,” says Syndey, to which Carmy and Richie respond in unison: “Show me a functional one!”

The first official season three teaser dropped earlier this month with a clip of Carmy flicking the lights on in The Bear and laying out his knife roll as the camera zoomed in on his face. The chef is seen staring straight ahead when the shot zeros in on his eyes, flips outward, and quickly zooms out — zipping from the back of his head, through the restaurant, and over the city of Chicago.

The Bear was renewed for its third season in November 2023, five months after the premiere of its second season. And while the Golden Globe-winning cast was in the process of completing season three in March, the series was renewed for its fourth season which will film directly after the upcoming season.

In February, FX chairman John Landgraf told Variety that the network would be sticking with its binge approach to The Bear, releasing each episode in the season at once rather than pivoting to a week-to-week schedule. “It wasn’t lost on me or anyone who worked on the show that it was anxiety-inducing,” he said. “So we made a decision to drop the whole thing because it has a beautiful, uplifting ending.”
