Camp Cretaceous, which was the first official Jurassic Park television series, followed dinosaur fanatic Darius Bowman (Paul-Mikel Williams) and a group of six teenage campers who become stranded on Isla Nublar after the dinosaurs break free from their enclosures.

Ortega, whose Brooklynn character was one of those six, appears not to have survived into the timeline of Chaos Theory, which picks up the story some time after the conclusion of Camp Cretaceous.

In other Ortega news, her recent film Miller’s Girl has received some criticism. Released in the US this January, it stars Martin Freeman as the professor of an 18-year-old student, played by Ortega. It has been described as an erotic thriller and explores the complex and intimate relationship between the student and her teacher, as well as involving some sexual scenes.

However, the film has received some backlash as the two actors are 31 years apart in age. Freeman has defended the film, calling its depiction of the relationship “grown-up and nuanced”, adding: “It’s not saying, ‘Isn’t this great?’”

The movie’s intimacy coordinator Kristina Arjona has also explained that the actors worked in a comfortable environment.

“There were many, many people throughout this process, engaging with [Ortega] to make sure that it was consistent with what she was comfortable with, and she was very determined and very sure of what she wanted to do,” she shared.

Ortega, meanwhile, has also revealed that she has received some scripts for the second season of Wednesday, hinting that it will lean more into the horror genre.
