The solo pop star and former One Direction member was spotted participating in the event yesterday (Sunday September 21), with images and footage later emerging online.

According to Billboard, local newspaper Der Tagesspiegel was the first to report on Styles’ involvement. Organisers subsequently confirmed to news agency DPA that the singer took part.

The ‘Harry’s House’ artist reportedly entered the Berlin Marathon under the pseudonym Sted Sarandos, and sported a headband and sunglasses. He completed the route in two hours, 59 minutes and 13 seconds.

A sub-three-hour marathon time is a coveted mark for many runners. This year’s winner, Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe, completed the route in two hours, two minutes and 16 seconds.

Styles posed for a photo at the finish line with Richard Whitehead, who has won two gold medals at the Paralympic Games. The double through-knee amputee is currently on a challenge to run 20 marathons in 2025 – which would bring his total to 100.

Sharing a photo of himself and Styles on Instagram, Whitehead wrote: “2.58 in Berlin with my mate!! Anyone know him!! 😂 #berlinmarathon.” Check out the posts below.
