has been back in headlines in recent times in the wake of ESPN’s The Last Dance. While many have been able to look back at his illustrious career, a few others have been able to share their own stories about MJ including Willie D of the Geto Boys. In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Willie D chimed in on MJ’s treatment of Chamillionaire in hindsight. Essentially, it boiled down to one’s character and Willie D made it clear that, especially in comparison to Jordan, he has a heart of gold.
“The thing is, I’m nowhere on his success level, or whatever, in terms of money or whatever, but as a human being, I’m more successful than him, you know? Because I don’t shit on people. I treat people like I want to be treated. I treat human beings with decency, a certain amount of decency, unless, of course, they violate me. Now, if you violate me that’s a different story,” he said.
He added that it doesn’t matter what someone’s profession is but at the end of the day, how you treat people in passing.
“I don’t care what you do for a living. I don’t care how famous you are. I don’t care that you scored 1,000 fuckin’ points in one basketball game. I don’t care if you actually fly muthafucka,” he explained. “You can literally know how to fuckin’ fly and it would not impress me if you are not a good person. I’m more concerned with what kind of person you are.”
