For the first time since the controversial video showing Gervonta Davis grabbing her by the collar circulated on social media, the mother of his daughter, Dretta Smothers, has commented about the situation.earlier this year after a video was shared to social media showing him arguing with Dretta at a charity basketball game. The champion fighter can be seen grabbing her by the shirt and then in another clip, 

Gervonta Davis was met with accusations of domestic violence—allegations that he denied, saying he “never once hit her.” However, the boxer was arrested and was  Now, Dretta took to her Instagram Story to address the controversy after a fan asked her how she’s been able to co-parent with Gervonta following the incident.
