Ex-Turnstile guitarist reportedly arrested for alleged murder attempt

Ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has reportedly been arrested for an alleged attempted murder.

The 33-year-old has appeared in Montgomery County arrest records (as per The PRP), which show that a Brady O’Brien Ebert of Silver Springs, Maryland was arrested on March 31.

Records state that Ebert was charged with attempted second degree murder, while Lambgoat reports that Ebert made his first court appearance yesterday (Wednesday April 1). According to the publication, he has been held without bond since his arrest.

NME have reached out to Turnstile’s representatives for comment.

Ebert was a founding member of the Baltimore hardcore group, and left in 2022. No comment was given on why Ebert left, though Turnstile shared in a statement that they were “deeply grateful for our time together”.

Since Ebert left Turnstile, the guitarist founded a new band in 2025 called The S.E.T (or ‘The Self Evident Truth’). However, Ebert was kicked out from the band last month after accusing Turnstile of misusing funds from a benefit gig.

He also claimed Turnstile were “pandering to their audience” (per Vice) when the band posted a graphic reading “abolish ICE”.

The band were just about to release of their debut EP ‘Self Evident Truth’ on March 6 when Ebert was ousted.

“Brady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T,” the band wrote online. “We will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behaviour toward the members of our band and our community”.
