Drake, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd & More’s Private Info In Danger From Hackers

Hackers claim they’ve stolen private information from the Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks law firm, which represents some the biggest names in entertainment. Drake, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Run-DMC and Mariah Carey are among the Hip Hop and R&B artists who’ve been represented by attorney Allen Grubman’s firm.

According to Page Six, hackers known as REvil or Sodinokibi say they’ve obtained 756 gigabytes data and shared a screenshot a Madonna tour contract as pro. The cybercriminals are demanding a $21 million ransom for the stolen info.

“We can confirm that we’ve been victimized by a cyberattack,” the Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks firm said in a press statement. “We have notified our clients and our staff. We have hired the world’s experts who specialize in this area, and we are working around the clock to address these matters.”

Variety reports the hackers have allegedly gained access to contracts, nondisclosure agreements and contact information. The REvil group has previously succeeded in its cyberattacks, securing a $2.3 ransom from the foreign exchange company Travelex earlier this year.

Other notable clients Grubman’s firm include LeBron James, Mike Tyson, Elton John, Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen. The company website is currently down following the cyberattack.
