The Hip Hop mogul rap fans have wanted to participate in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz series says he’s down to compete.
After numerous rumored matchups were discussed between the Bad Boy mogul, Jermaine Dupri and others, the one name that most unanimously agreed with was Dr. Dre.
During a recent Instagram Live discussion with Fat Joe, Diddy said something is definitely in the works.
“We definitely talking about it,” Diddy told Joe. “You heard it here, you heard it here on the show! Understand we getting money together!”
It’s not the first time the two legendary producers have been paired together. On Monday (April 20), Dre called in during the aftermath Teddy Riley and Babyface’s record-breaking battle and fered his thoughts on participating.
“I don’t know if I’m interested man, we’ll see, we’ll see,” Dre tells his “No Diggity” collaborator. “I was going back and forth with Puff earlier today and … you and Babyface are inspirational. You guys are champions but … I don’t know if this is for me.”

Whatever the case may be, Dre and Diddy may force Timbaland and Swizz’ hand in terms setting up an even bigger platform to host the battle.
During Babyface and Teddy Riley’s now-legendary back-and-forth, many viewers couldn’t watch the battle from either’s Instagram page, having to jump on others’ pages and watch it as if it were a Mike Tyson fight in the ’80s.
According to Swizz Beatz, over 4 million people tuned in for the battle, resulting in a doubling streams for both Babyface and Riley’s songs as well as a massive increase in social media follows for both them.
