Dave Grohl attends Wimbledon and gives his tournament predictions
Dave Grohl was spotted at the Wimbledon tennis tournament and has given his predictions as to who will win.
The Foo Fighters frontman – who recently wrapped up a UK tour with his band – traded his usual rockstar garb of jeans, a t-shirt and long flowing locks for a clean-cut suit and tie with brown loafers while appearing at Wimbledon today (July 2).
While at the tournament with his wife Jordyn Blum, Grohl was stopped by the BBC for a quick interview about his predictions for the tournament’s winners. After being asked about who he thought would win, the former Nirvana drummer initially replied: “What?”
Asked a second time, he repeated “What?” before adding on the potential men’s champion: “No clue.” Grohl was then asked about who he thought would win the women’s event to which he awkwardly replied: “Couldn’t say.”

Last week, Grohl was spotted at this year’s edition of Glastonbury Festival. He was seen at the side of the Pyramid stage during LCD Soundsystem’s set at the annual Worthy Farm music bash.

Elsewhere, Foo Fighters were joined by Geezer Butler for a cover of the 1970 Black Sabbath classic ‘Paranoid’ during their gig at Birmingham’s Villa Park.
For the performance, Butler led the band on bass duties, while Grohl ditched the guitar to mimic Ozzy Osbourne’s onstage movements while singing.
Foo Fighters’ recent Manchester concert scored them a four-star rating, with Rishi Shah writing for NME: “Approaching thirty years as a band, Foo Fighters have adapted in the face of any adversity, ensuring their stadium show remains cohesive, exemplary and simply untouchable.
“While others from their time might begin to creep towards legacy act territory, Foo Fighters remain as relevant and imperious as ever – they’re only going to need even more stadiums to fill.”
