Louisville metalcore greats Knocked Loose are no strangers to sharing bills with rappers, and they just announced that they’ll add a very cool (and rock-friendly) rapper to select dates of their upcoming headlining tour, Danny Brown. He plays the Wheatland, Santa Ana, San Jose, Chicago, and Milwaukee shows, joining an already stacked and musically diverse bill that includes Santa Cruz hardcore band Drain, LA hardcore-adjacent alt-rock band Militarie Gun, and Orange County weirdos The Garden. Knocked Loose tease the pairing yesterday when they shared a DM from Danny that praises their new album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To:

The tour hits the NYC area at Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on October 6 (no Danny on that date, though).

Knocked Loose were recently in NYC supporting Slipknot at Madison Square Garden, and headlining shows at Brooklyn Steel and Terminal 5 in May.

Danny Brown just recently played NYC hyperpop duo Frost Children’s hometown mini festival Frost Fest (with Frost Children as his backing band) after doing a headlining tour earlier this year that landed in NYC for an Irving Plaza show (pics). Danny released not one but two great albums last year, his own Quaranta and the collaborative Scaring the Hoes with JPEGMAFIA, who also recently did a tour opening for a hardcore band (Turnstile in 2022).
