Catfish & The Bottlemen have announced details of what will be their biggest UK headline show to date. Find more details and ticket information below.
Set to take place later this summer, the huge gig will see the BRIT Award-winning group reach new heights, as they take to the stage at Liverpool’s Sefton Park.
The performance at the outdoor space will be held on Thursday, July 11, and is of the largest outdoor concerts the city of Liverpool has ever seen. It has a 32,000 capacity, and will be the biggest headline show of the band’s career to date.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday (April 19) at 10am and will be available here. Additionally, you can visit here to find details about various pre-sales taking place earlier in the week. More acts performing at the show are set to be announced at a later date.
The news of the huge Liverpool show comes shortly after Catfish & The Bottlemen shared their comeback single ‘Showtime’ and announced UK headlining dates.

The track marked Van McCann and co’s first new music in five years, following their last full-length effort, 2019’s ‘The Balance‘. It was written and recorded by McCann, alongside multi-Grammy-winning producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, The Rolling Stones), and documents the band’s return to the scene.

‘Showtime’ is the first song to be released from Catfish & the Bottlemen’s soon-to-be-announced fourth studio album – although further details on the LP remain under wraps.
The announcement of the Sefton Park gig also comes after the group dropped the news of three huge open-air shows in Cardiff and Edinburgh, and were confirmed as headlining Reading & Leeds Festival’s mainstage for the second time this summer. You can visit here for remaining tickets to all their upcoming shows.
“Van McCann is back where he’s meant to be: headlining festivals, finishing a brand new album, and beginning a dynamic, exciting new era for Catfish and the Bottlemen,” read a new statement in a press release.
The band previously teased their first new music in five years this past weekend (February 17) by posting a six-second snippet of the track on their social media channels. The band also released a pre-order of ‘Showtime’ on a white 7″ vinyl pressing along with new merchandise.

The band have not played a show together since 2021, following their headline slots at Reading & Leeds and a pair of outdoor gigs at Singleton Park in Swansea and Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington. By that time, rumours of the group splitting up had already been swirling.
In a three-star review of their 2021 Reading Festival headlining performance, NME shared: “’One of our longshots paid off,’ sings frontman Van McCann on opener ‘Longshot’ from 2019’s ‘The Balance’ – a heartening notion for most bands who dream of headlining the hallowed stage of Reading. As he later pines on 2016’s ‘Soundcheck’ from ‘The Ride’: ‘Because you grew up in a small town / You’ll appreciate it more’.”
The upcoming gigs will also mark the band’s first since the departure of guitarist Johnny “Bondy” Bond.
