Cardi B cancels ONE MusicFest set as she recovers from “medical emergecy”
Having given birth to her third child with Offset last month, Cardi B had just one show on her schedule at the moment, Atlanta festival ONE MusicFest. She’s now cancelled that set while she recovers from a “medical emergency.” “I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days,” she writes, “and I wont be able to perform at ONE MusicFest. It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love yall.”
A statement from the festival reads, “Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, Cardi B announced that she is no longer available to join us this year due to ongoing health issues. Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery! We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.”
Cardi was scheduled to perform on Saturday (10/26), and that day’s lineup also includes Earth Wind & Fire, Nelly, Fantasia, Ari Lennox, Method Man & Redman, Young Nudy, Larry June, BigXThaPlug, and more. Sunday’s lineup has Gunna, Jill Scott, Victoria Monét, GloRilla, Keyshia Cole, Sexyy Red and more.
Cardi also said on Monday that someone had CPS sent ot her house. Speaking in a livestream on Monday, she said, “Motherfuckers have taken shit too fucking far when you mess with my fucking kids,” adding, “For the Child Protective Services to come to my fucking house? Not my house ― my gated mansion at 11 PM while my children are sleeping, because there’s an anonymous call… that my kids have been getting abused and beaten. Are you fucking dumb?”
“This is when the pranks start getting too far,” she continued. “When you fucking assholes think that shit is funny, and it’s not funny.”
“I promise you this,” she added, “I’m gonna sue Child Protective Services for fucking coming to my house at whatever the fuck time it comes. And I’m also going to sue the person that did this anonymous call.”
