‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ and ‘Warzone’ confirms WWE collab
Activision has confirmed details of a new WWE crossover for both Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call Of Duty: Warzone.
The season five update goes live next week (July 24) and will introduce a pair of WWE superstars to the game, with both Cody ‘The American Nightmare’ Rhodes and Rey ‘The Ultimate Underdog’ Mysterio as unlockable characters.
Leaning into the wrestling theme, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will also get a number of new, grabbling-inspired game modes. Season five will launch with the COD Warrior mode, which is made up of 15 randomised 2v2v2 minigames.
“Rule the ring and unlock new content across Weekly Events like the WWE SummerSlam; prove your championship status by completing challenges across all game modes to unlock rewards including an Operator Skin mastery reward,” said Activision in a blog post.

Later in the season, Slam Deathmatch will allow players to earn points by “downing and then eliminating opponents” with the help of a randomised WWE finishing move, while Arcade Playlist will let players “power up with new abilities while fighting for possession over five new power weapons”.
The Bounty Contest mode will also be available at launch. Taking place in Resurgence, every team is given a bounty to take-out over the course of the match. The mid-season update will introduce Supreme Resurgence matches alongside Elite Contracts.
