Recently, has been making a music career comeback. The singer returned to the fray with a brand new single featuring Chance the Rapper, an ode to mothers everywhere, aptly-titled, 

Since her return, and the advent of IG Live Battles helmed by ‘s and ‘s Verzuz platform,  While it was tentative at the time, it seems that it will definitely not happen, despite the fact that Brandy does seem open to it now. “The Boy Is Mine” collaborator gave an interview to V103 Atlanta recently where she provided an update on the potentiel of a Verzuz showdown.

“I heard that she doesn’t wanna do it,” Brandy says of . “The last thing I heard is she pretty much turned it down, she didn’t want to be a part of that, but I understand.”

Still, she gave her two thumbs up to the platform– “I love what they’re doing with that platform. I think it’s just a great way to share music and celebrate.”
