Armand Hammer, the prolific rap duo of ELUCID and billy woods, have announced a new album, for which they tapped Moor Mother, Soul Glo’s Pierce Jordan, Pink Siifu, Junglepussy, Curly Castro, and Cavalier to contribute features. Armand Hammer teased the LP with flyers, phone numbers, and QR codes plastered around NYC (per Reddit), and they’ve now confirmed it: We Buy Diabetic Test Strips is due September 29 via billy woods’ Backwoodz Studioz label (pre-order). Elucid and billy woods have stayed busy since the 2021 release of Haram, their last Armand Hammer LP produced by The Alchemist. In 2022, ELUCID released I Told Bessie and billy woods dropped Aethiopes and Church (all of which landed in our best rap albums of 2022). Earlier this year, billy woods released Maps, his collaborative album with Kenny Segal.
